Work Credit Requirements

• Even if your condition is not listed, you can still qualify if you can prove that your disability prevents you from working any job due to its severity.

Age, Education, and Work Experience Considerations

If your condition does not match a listed impairment, the SSA will evaluate:

• Your age
• Education level and vocational skills

• Whether you can adjust to other work despite your medical limitations

Residency Requirements

To receive SSDI benefits in Louisiana:
