Ways to Report a Change of Address

There are several convenient ways for Louisiana SSDI recipients to update their address with the SSA:

1. Online via My Social Security Account

• Visit ssa.gov/myaccount
• Log in or create a “my Social Security” account
• Go to the “My Profile” tab
• Select “Update Contact Information”
• Enter your new address and confirm

This is usually the fastest and easiest way to make the change.

2. By Phone

• Call the SSA at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY: 1-800-325-0778)
• Representatives are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Be ready to verify your identity with your Social Security number, date of birth, and other personal details

This method is ideal if you don’t have internet access or need assistance.

3. In Person at a Local SSA Office
